Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
The client hereby agrees to follow the comprehensive cancellation and rescheduling policy outlined by Petite Play.
-
Deposits: Once a deposit is paid, your booking is secured. If you choose to cancel, the deposit will be forfeited as it covers administrative and preparation costs.
-
Rescheduling: We are happy to work with you to reschedule your booking (subject to availability).
In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, the client commits to providing Petite Play with a substantial advance notice period of 7 days before the scheduled rental date.
The client recognises that failure to provide the requisite notice may result in significant consequences, leading to the forfeiture of a portion of the agreed-upon rental fee or the security deposit. The determination of the extent of forfeiture shall be at the sole discretion of Petite Play, taking into consideration various factors including the timing of the cancellation and any associated costs incurred.
Furthermore, the client demonstrates an understanding that rescheduling the initially agreed-upon rental date and package is contingent upon both the availability of the specific package requested and the approval of Petite Play. This acknowledgment is crucial in maintaining fairness and ensuring the optimal use of Petite Play’s resources.
If the client deems it necessary to reschedule the rental, the client agrees to communicate such requests to Petite Play promptly. It is duly noted that rescheduling may not only be subject to the availability of the desired package but may also incur additional fees. These fees shall be determined based on the specific circumstances surrounding the rescheduling request and the overall availability of the rental equipment.
Petite Play retains the exclusive right to make final determinations concerning any cancellation or rescheduling requests. The client explicitly consents to abide by Petite Play’s decisions in this regard, acknowledging Petite Play’s expertise and commitment to providing a seamless and reliable service.
This detailed understanding and acknowledgment of the cancellation and rescheduling policy reflect the client's commitment to fostering a transparent and cooperative relationship with the Petite Play. Such collaboration ensures a smoother rental process and helps mitigate potential challenges that may arise due to cancellations or rescheduling.
Weather Policy
We know weather can be unpredictable and may affect your event. For everyone’s safety and to protect our equipment:
-
An indoor or sheltered backup location is required for all bookings.
-
If the weather forecast predicts unsafe conditions (such as rain, strong winds, or extreme heat), we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we will work with you to reschedule to a new date, based on availability or swap to a more suitable hire that will fit indoors, again subject to avalability.
Please note: No refunds or credits will be issued under any of the above circumstances due to the weather.
Bond Policy
A refundable security bond of $100 is required for all hire items. This bond will be held by Petite Play and returned via bank transfer within 3–7 business days after your event, provided the equipment is returned in satisfactory condition following inspection.
If the equipment is found to be stained, excessively soiled, or damaged, the bond will be withheld to cover cleaning, repair, or restoration costs. In cases of significant damage, additional charges may apply depending on the severity and cost of replacement or repair.
The bond may be retained if the soft play equipment is affected by:
-
Face paint
-
Glitter
-
Confetti
-
Food or drink
-
Chewing gum
-
Bottles or glasses
-
Pets
-
Pens, textas, or paint
-
Dye or lollies
-
Spray string, streamers, or party poppers
-
Blood, water, sand, mud, dirt, or other sticky or staining substances
If any of these items are found on or in the equipment, an additional cleaning fee may apply. Severe staining or damage may result in a replacement or repair fee in addition to forfeiting the bond.
Important Notes:
-
All damage must be reported to Petite Play immediately.
-
Do not continue to use the equipment if any damage occurs.
-
All hirers agree to these these conditions once the deposit has been made
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the quality and cleanliness of our equipment for all families to enjoy.
